Lungs On Fire: Investigating the Health Impacts of Wildfire Smoke in BC
Lungs On Fire is a 5-year, $2 million research project funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research (CIHR) and led by Dr. Chris Carlsten. The project brings together partners from across British Columbia to explore how wildfire smoke affects lung health and to improve public health messaging.
Over the summer, the Airwaves & Airways podcast is featuring a three-part series highlighting each of the project’s research pillars.
Episode 1: Experimental lab methods and administrative health data analysis
Dr. Chris Carlsten and Dr. Stephanie Cleland discuss the design, challenges, and hypotheses behind their work using experimental lab methods and administrative health data.
Additional episodes will be added here as they are released.
